- Credit
Suisse First Boston - 2005 – 2008. Director – Market Risk Management.
- Managed the Risk Reporting
function that processed risk data for the Americas and produced reports
covering the Americas and globally consolidation of the Equities,
Corporate Fixed Income and Structured Products business lines.
- Managed the New Business
function responsible for risk management review and approval.
- Project Manager for analysis
and development of a Synthetic CDO Risk Management system including full
revaluation of CDO Tranches on a 2000 node calculation Grid. Developed MS Access based system
to import and clean MarkIt Data spreads to produce historical time
series.
- Credit Suisse First
Boston - 1999 – 2005. Contractor.
- Developed system for
calculating and reporting on value at risk for fixed income and equity
proprietary trading. Results
were improved productivity (2-3 FTE reduction), improved delivery (4
hours earlier), improved controls and more transparency in risk analysis. The system had 40 users in NY, London and
Singapore. The system
extracted data from Credit Derivatives spreadsheets and Sybase databases
into a Microsoft Access database. The Risk Analysts then calculate
and report on risk factors using market shocks, correlated risk and
historical simulation. The system integrated the use of Microsoft
Outlook and Excel through the Access VBA code.
- Led
Credit Default Risk - Credit Risk Plus rollout for Fixed Income risk
clusters.
- Developed
combined risk reporting for senior managers in the CRO function.
- Managed
system support and testing for many rollouts of systems and Y2K system
upgrades and testing for NY.
- Interfaced
directly with 50 Market and Credit risk analysts in NY providing support
and training on internally developed applications.
- Deutsche Bank - 1998 –
1999. Contractor.
- Developed an interface between
a proprietary custody system and Portia using MS Access.
- Developed EMU conversion
system for Portia in MS Access.
- Bankers Trust - 1995 –
1998. Contractor.
- Developed a real-time P &
L tracking system. (VB 5, VC++ 5.0, MS SQL Server).
- Managed the installation of a
program trading system with direct links to major exchanges and developed
interfaces to the back office systems.

explanation system for arbitrage trading and a delta trading system for
derivative trading. (VB, VC++, MS Access, MS SQL Server).
- Installed, configured and
supported Win/NT 3.51/4.0 Servers/Workstations and MS SQL 6.0/6.5

- Developed a system that
monitors communications lines, analyzes messages, updates information in
a database and displays caller history for call center operators. (VB,

- Directed the development of a
complete personnel management system for a 600-person internal audit
department. It provides a full set of human resource, training,
scheduling and time keeping modules for capturing, analyzing and
reporting information. (VB, MS Access).
- Led the development of a case
management system for a legal/investigation department. It provides
complete tracking and cross referencing of cases. (VB, MS Access).
- Managed technical support
worldwide including equipment purchases and network installation.
- AST & Epson –
1992. Independent Software Vendor.
- Customized a proprietary
system to automate the distribution of diskette images. The system
generates diskettes for licensed software shipped with AST and Epion
computers. (VC++, SDK).
- Lehman Brothers - 1991
–1992. Contractor.
- Provided technical expertise
in the use of Microsoft Windows as a front end for Unix applications.
Responsible for package selection and system integration of X-Server,
TCP/IP, Local Area Network, and Microsoft Windows. Set up test
environment. Installed and customized software and Local Area Network.
Developed test drivers in C on Sun Workstation (Unix and Open Look).

Established
function built and directed an in-house staff of 30 developers and quality
assurance personnel.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
· SAB Diskette Utility. Designed, developed, and marketed a product to provide
copying, comparing, formatting, and verifying of diskettes in a well-behaved
Windows 3.x application. The product was developed using the Microsoft Windows
3.1 SDK and Microsoft C7. It was re-written using VC++ and the Microsoft
Foundation Classes (MFC). The product has over 2,000 licensed users. Portions
of the product were also licensed to Tool Technology for inclusion in WinTools.
The entire product was licensed to Epson America for inclusion on all
microcomputers shipped within the United States.
